I know it’s not just me when I see the months flying by in the blink of an eye. It’s incredible how fast we live! The best advice I can offer to combat the syndrome is to Live in the Moment. Enjoy the simplest, most mundane tasks to whatever extent you can. Maximize your time with family, friends, church activities, prayer, meditation, and (of course!) dancing. I truly love calling and visiting with dancers while I’m at their club. Those are the most intimate settings. Specials and conventions are great for dancing and partying, but as callers, we don’t get nearly enough time to interact 1-on-1 with dancers. Seems I’m always hustling from one convention hall to the next, tossing a quick smile or wave to dancers as I pass them along the way. It feels so impersonal to do that, but that’s the way it is. I might start attending more conventions as a dancer moving forward. Just a thought.
Love you guys!
